Nowadays, the composite box-girder bridge with corrugated steel webs is wildly used in home and abroad, and the design of shear connectors is one of the most important factors of composite beams. Many advantages of perfobond shear connectors have been discovered from the practical application, including large shear capacity, long fatigue life, easy production, economically affordable application. So, the perfobond shear connectors are wildly used. The current research on perfobond shear connectors is not yet mature, especially for its bearing capacity. In this dissertation, a finite element analysis of mechanical performance for perfobond shear connectors was carried out. The main features are presented as follows.Firstly, the development history of the composite box-girder bridge with corrugated steel webs was reviewed. The research status of shear connectors were summarized. and the research significance of this dissertation was put forward.Secondly, the basic theory of the shear connectors was introduced, including the mechanical behavior, failure criterion, bearing capacity, design methods and so on. some specify of shear bearing capacity in domestic and overseas specifications was described.Thirdly, a nonlinear analysis of perfobond shear connectors was created by ANSYS. The factors of the structural parameters to influence the bearing capacity of the shear connectors were analyzed. Especially, the influences of the plate thickness and diameter of steel were discussed and some useful analytical conclusions were given.In the last, the shear behavior of twin perfobond shear connectors was analyzed by ANSYS. The factor on the spacing of two ribs was discussed. A contrast between the finite element results and some test formulas was made. Some suggestions about the design of the perfobond shear connector were given.
