In recent years, Automobile manufacturing industry has become the main pillar industry of national economy and lead the development of it, which is closely related to people’s life. Automotive covering parts is mostly made of high strength steel plate, the material is thinner、the size is larger、the surface quality request is higher. Compared with the traditional test method, the finite element analysis method can effectively predict the forming defects and optimize the forming by changing the process parameters. It’s good for reducing the number of testing and repairing the mold, shortening the production period and improving the market competitiveness.Based on DYNAFORM, the stamping simulation analysis was carried out on the car roof. The numerical simulation process include: construct a 3-D model, mesh and control grid parameters, design addendum, determine material type and the performance parameters, estimate the blank size etc. By comparing the forming characteristics of sheet metal in the three different drawbead layout forms, such as: no distribution, uniform distribution, Segmented distribution. To get good forming quality, 7 different drawbeads had been chose.springback as a major defect of the sheet metal stamping, influenced by many factors. Chose die clearance, blank holder force, coefficient of friction, stamping speed as representative, design L16(45) orthogonal test. Chose the minimum thickness, maximum thickness, springback amount as the indicators, determined the optimal parameter combination by comparing the the largest reduction ratio in extreme difference analysis and direct analysis, ordered the influnce by analysis of variance.Based on the best parameter combination, controled the springback amount within 2 mm by the springback compensation, Satisfied the requirement of forming quality and producted in the factory.
