The main feature of super heavy oil is high viscosity and high density different from ordinary crude. Now, sampler valves of most oil fields are regular hand wheel ones, the main part of which is connected to the wellhead pipes with short tube, partly exposed to the outside. When the temperature in winter is 20 to 30 degrees below zero, outlet of the sampler will be solidified. If the situation is very bad, the valve will be destroyed, resources will be wasted. In order to protect the short tube and not affect the normal flow of fluid, sampling tube is usually near the pipe wall. Due to velocity of the fluid is lower than that of the center, distribution of oil and water is uneven in the process of flow. So it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of the moisture content. And the moisture content is a key index in oil field production, Whether it can be accurately measured plays a decisive role in the production of crude oil. When many scholars at home and abroad want to improve the sampler, they mostly do it by increasing the insulation layer thickness or improving material to prevent frostbite by changing the Angle and depth in short pipe in pipe to reduce the error.But it does not only cost high and also affect limitely. So how to reduce the sampling error effectively and antifreeze scientifically is very important in the design. To improve the sampling technique, a new type of ball valve rotary sampler is designed, which can take out the fluid of the entire region of the pipe section by rotating the ball valve, reducing the sampling error effectively. And the sampling process does not affect the normal operation of the pipeline, it can also take advantage of the temperature of the fluid, avoiding frozen phenomenon. To verify the feasibility of the sample, the pressure safety of which is analyzed by numerical simulation. And the effects of temperature and moisture content are analyzed to give the best scope to sampler. All of these can give some guidance to the applications and promotion of the new sampler in actual production.
