| Phase change temperature-control textiles are intelligent which have the capacity of temperature-control. When temperature changes, the phase change materials in textiles will become phase transformation with absorbing and releasing of the energy. These kind textiles can buffer the body discomfort from temperature’s sudden changes, and give enough time to adapt to new temperature, then keep one’s body comfortable. Four aspects researches were accomplished in this paper as follows:1) Eight pieces of weft interlock knitted fabrics were knitted with the polyester/viscose blended, cotton/viscose blended yarn and pure viscose phase change temperature yarn,. The influence of the blended yarn ratio and fabric density on basic properties of the fabric was studied. The experimental results showed that the bursting property, air permeability, warmth retention property of polyester viscose blended fabric are better, moisture permeability and water transmitting ability of pure viscose fabric are better, most of the basic fabric performance and stitch length are linear correlation.2) The tempering performance of phase change temperature-control textiles was studied. By the study of temperature-time curves and DSC curve of the fabric, the phase transition of beginning and ending temperature, peak temperature and phase change enthalpy characterization of indicators of the fabric was obtained, and the heating and cooling performance of fabric were compared. The results showed that the pure thermal control performance of viscose fabric was better than polyester/viscose blended yarn fabric and cotton/viscose blended yarn fabric, the higher the performance of the fabric density, the better the tempering performance. Fabric simulated test was also taken under different environmental temperature of heating and cooling performance. The results showed that the greater the range of temperature in fabric and the environment, the faster the cooling rate, and the cooling time was a quadratic function of the ambient temperature.3) Based on the study of the basic performance and the tempering performance of the knitted fabric, the temperature change of the fabric was divided into two phases for the presence or the absence of phase change material in thermal control, and according to the theory of grey clustering, the thermal-wet comfort of eight kinds of fabric which was knitted in the experiment is analyzed in stages. Analysis results showed that thermal wet comfort of pure viscose fabrics whose densities are biggest and moderate in two stage ware better, but the thermal wet comfort of the polyester/viscose(70/30) fabric had always been poor.4) The washing durability of knitted fabrics was also studied. Through the washing of 5, 15, and 30 times, the basic properties and DSC curve of the fabrics were tested. Experimental results showed that the structure of the fabric basically keep stable after repeated washing, the bursting strength and abrasion resistance became better first then got worse after washing, bending stiffness and conductivity slightly increased first, then remained stable, warmth retention property of fabric became worse before they got better with the increase of washing time, the influence of the washing time on the permeability was not very big, keep rate of the phase change enthalpy was about 60% after 30 times of washing, Tempering performance would become worse after many times of washing. |
