Our country is rich in various mineral resources, but the geological structure is complex, and it’s difficult to develop, downhole permeability and gas explosion accidents occur frequently. With the continuous modernization of equipment, the trend of deep mining keep deepening, mine production also faces a lot of new technology and security problems, making the security problems in mine production complicated. Using sensor technology and wireless communication technology can realize the effective monitoring of various environmental data, thus monitor the occurrence of disasters in real time and reduce losses. Downhole monitoring system is of great significance to the safe and effective mine production, and the development of it has become a necessary means of achieving the goal of safe downhole production.This essay, taking vertical shaft as the design environment, combine with the monitoring targets and design a wireless transmission monitoring system with downhole real-time ranging at the core, which assemble the measure of temperature and humidity, combustible gas, pressure. This design meets the requirements of monitoring various downhole data and the alarm in special condition, provides the powerful safeguard for the safe production of coal mines, oil wells etc. The main work in this design is:Firstly I designed the vertical shaft monitoring system. According to the demands of downhole monitoring system, I accomplished the overall design of the system. In the process of the design, the construction of whole system took the design factors of rationality, practicality, economy, adaptability and other aspects into consideration. I gave the analysis and explanation of each design scheme, and accomplished the hardware design of wireless sensor network nodes, and the software design including data collection of the sensor, ZigBee networking and PC display concretely.Secondly I constructed the vertical shaft monitoring system. I set up a system device in the laboratory in order to get the data of temperature, humidity, combustible gas concentration, pressure and simulated mine platform ranging, and measured these five parameters in the laboratory environment. When monitoring data is beyond the range of the maximum or minimum which was set, the design system accomplished the alarm function, and transmitted the data accurately and display in real time through the wireless transmission network.Finally I tested the vertical shaft monitoring system. I collected and analyzed the test data of each block, verified the feasibility of the functions, and made the analysis of ranging error. The overall test results show that the design system meets the application requirements.
