Study On Villagers’ Income Security And Growth Pattern Of Xi’an City Village After Transform

Urban village is a special phenomenon of industrialization and city development inChina. With the rapid development of the cities, renovation of urban villages hasbecome an important issue in city development. Because the Villagers lost their land aswell as source of income, they are forced into the city and they are now lack ofemployment capacity and indemnification of city residents’ rights. On the otherhand, the difference on urban social cognition, the difficulties on transformation for roleof farmers and the slow adaptation for civilization, leading to singularity on productionand life of most villagers, and income and social security problem standing out, whichcaused extensive concern of the government and the community. Therefore, thevillagers’ income growth model has become an important aspect of urban villagetransformation effect.This article takes villagers’ source of income and growth pattern after Xi’an urbanvillage renovation as the research object. By researching on the transformation of thevillagers’ income and extracting useful information, we obtain the main factorsinfluencing the villagers’ income resource using the principal component analysismethod. By longitudinal comparison on the structure of income source before and afterurban village renovation, and horizontal comparison on income growth model, wefound out the key point of the growth of farmers’ income, which is through theestablishment of the social security system, jobs’ supply and training to resolve the basicliving security source problem; meanwhile through increasing the business settlementratio, and building the resettlement area except for what they live by themselves intosmall apartment units, we can solve the sustainable growth in revenue; though anempirical analysis of the key point, we conclude that further suggestions to improve thevillagers’ income after urban village renovation, providing a reference for thegovernment during the transformation of villages.
