With the rapid development of industrial, the flue gas contains large amounts ofparticulate matter emissions in the industrial production and energy combustionprocess, contribute greatly affect to the people’s living environment and industrialproduction. The traditional soot detection methods has some flaws, it is difficult toachieve online, real-time detection to the concentration of soot particles. This articledesigned a soot concentration detection device based on the optical backwardscattering, through testing detect effects of this device to different concentration ofsoot particles, verify the effectiveness of this device, and further promote thedevelopment of the soot concentration detection technology.This article conducted in-depth study of the nature of the soot particles, due toindustrial emissions of soot particles are not easy to get, the fly ash particles areeasier to obtain to test instead of the soot particles in the experiment. Made anumerical simulation of trajectory and particle size distribution of fly ash particles ofdifferent particle size using FLUENT software,and designed a special device whichis used to get fly ash of5μm size. This article also designed an experimental deviceused to simulate flue environment, soot concentration detection can be achievedbased on the optical backward scattering by this device. Articles designed onhardware and software, hardware part mainly completed the conditioning circuitdesign of photodetector that mainly contains light intensity detection circuit, filtercircuit, amplifier circuit; MC9S08DZ60microcontroller as the core to achieve theA/D conversion and peripheral circuits design of the signal acquisition module. Anduse upper computer software realized the real-time curve of monitoring data shows,preservation function.A lot of experiment been Designed to detect the device performance. First response capability of the apparatus for smoke concentration experiment, thendesigned multiple groups of experiments divided by different fly ash concentration,linear fit according to detected analog voltage quantized value and correspondingsoot concentration, and the experimental data analyzed at the same time.This article designed the dust concentration detection device based on opticalbackward scattering, experiments show that this device is effective in detection ofdifferent concentrations of soot. Provides a basis for soot concentration detection andenvironmental pollution control, has a certain value.
