| Teachers’teaching and learning behavior is the key factor to affect the quality of teaching. Teachers’teaching has influence on students’learning directly. Only when teachers teach effectively can students learn effectively. At present, there are ineffective behaviors in the English classroom in the countryside, which, to a certain extent, lead to that the rural education level is quite backward. Therefore, studying the effectiveness of primary school teachers’teaching behaviors in the countryside and promoting teachers to change the inefficient teaching behaviors, not only can improve the teaching quality of rural education, but also can change the backward economic situation in the countryside.This is a case study on the rural English teacher of primary school in the Jilin province, targeting teachers’exposition behavior, questions and answers behavior, conversation behavior and instruction behavior. The research methods are classroom observation, interviewing method and document review. After consulting a large number of domestic and foreign materials, I design observation table under the guidance of the concept in professor Cuiyunhuo and Yaolimin’s effective teaching, doing a case study on a typical English teacher in a rural primary school in Jilin province for a long time. Its purpose is providing improvement strategy through the observation of primary school English teachers’teaching behaviors in the countryside.The thesis is composed of seven parts. The first part is putting forward problem, explaining the cause of the topic, the purpose and meaning of the research. The second part generalizes the outlines of relative researches both at home and abroad, making a comment, and gives the definition of concepts related to effective classroom teaching. The third part is mainly about theoretical basis, stating their enlightenments. The fourth part introduces the object and method of study, describing the object of study and classroom observation, interviewing method and literature review. The fifth part is the case study process about the effectiveness of primary school English teachers’teaching behavior in the countryside. The research process is divided into three stages. The first stage is to observe the existing problems of teacher’s behaviors in the classroom. The second stage is to know the causes of problems and promote teacher’s improvement. The third stage is continuing to observe teacher’s behaviors in the classroom. The sixth part:the countermeasures to improve rural primary school English teachers’teaching behavior effectiveness. Viewing problems of English teachers’teaching behavior in the current rural primary school, I put forward whole strategies to improve the teaching behavior:promote teachers to reflect their teaching and participate in various forms of teaching observation; school should give more English class hours; improve teaching equipments of primary school in the countryside. At the same time, this article puts forward the specific and targeted improvement strategies. The seventh part: summary. |
