As the “Mandarin fever” tie gradually sweeps across the globe, the lack of teachers inteaching of Chinese as a foreign language has also emerged increasingly. Building aChinese team with high quality has become one of significant solutions to problem ofChinese international education as well as the sound development of Chinese internationalpromotion. The Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)that targets at cultivating teachers with high level, application-oriented, compound typewho teaches Chinese as a second language, has provided a practice foundation and talentguarantee for the development of Chinese international education.24colleges in Chinahave begun the enrollment of MTSCOL since2007and82colleges around China havedegree-granting postsecondary by2011. Since MTSCOL is viewed as an emerging product,various training units have gradually explored a training practice that either adapts to thestandard of training program, or suits for the training requirements of local characteristic aswell as source of students. School of Humanity Soochow University was awarded thedegree-granting postsecondary of MTCSOL in2009and by the end of the start date (2013October) of the investigation of this paper, Suzhou University has enrolled330studentsmajored in MTSCOL. In the cultivation process of MTSCOL, the college attaches muchimportance to students’ teaching practice circle, not only establishes “World UniversityPartnership”, but provides students with more internship opportunity through practice baseor interschool exchange. By means of questionnaire, it has acquired the backgroundinformation of students as well as their feedback information to curriculum and teaching,teaching practice, academic dissertation and graduation, drawn a conclusion that on theroad of major construction and development, enrollment quality optimization,improvement of course practice, practice assess as well as clear standard of academicdissertation will be the only route to constantly improve cultivation quality, promote teaching system with more scientificity, applicability, while the training mode with moreexpansionary and openness.
