| With the Chinese culture being spread world-widely, more and more foreignerscan not resist to learn Chinese. And the application of Music Teaching Method, anavant-garde teaching method, is paid much attention by scholars at the classes offoreign Chinese teaching. During the period of time the author was in Thailandteaching Chinese, I set up a “Chinese Song Class†initiatively which focused onteaching Chinese through Chinese songs. Based on the plenty experience of applyingprevious scholars’ methods onto my classes, I was able to conclude the pattern offiltering Chinese songs and other applied principles of this methods.This thesis is constructed by five chapters:Chapter1Introduction: in this part, primarily introduces the backgroundã€themain goal and meaning of my chosen thesis topic. And I make a detailed summary ofprevious scholars’ achievements in the field of “the relationship between music andlanguageâ€.Chapter2: the author points out three initial advantages of utilizing Chinesesongs to teach Chinese. Firstly, this method catches up with students’ psychologicaldevelopment. Secondly, it would do great help to improve students’ learning intereston Chinese. Thirdly, it would improve the understanding of Chinese culture amongstudents.Chapter3will bring up several problems of the utilization of Chinese songs onteaching Chinese. Through the analysis and summary of real-world teachingexperience, the author will provide her own points on the filtering principle ofChinese songs and the using principles that should be followed during applying thismethod on class.Chapter4will provide the exact examples of using Chinese songs to teachChinese in Thailand. Through these examples, the author will introduce the reason of choosing a song, the teaching procedure and the teaching result.Chapter5is a conclusion of the whole thesis. In this part, the author discussesthe innovation points and also the shortcomings of this dissertation. |
