| As a new form of film and television art emerged in the era of new media, micro-film has been developing at a rapid rate and attracted great attention worldwide with its market performance. With the popularization of the internet, mobile internet and handheld intelligent devices, Chinese micro-film industry reached a new height in recent years. However, many problems also emerged along its course of development. On one hand, while the yield of Chinese micro film industry is on the rise, the artistic quality and commercial value of micro films remain at a relatively low level. Besides, the change of the media environment also pose new challenges for the industrialization of micro films. On the other hand, studies on domestic micro film industry is yet to be supported by persuasive theoretical frameworks. Firstly, there are disputes on the concept of micro film, and theoretical studies on micro film has always been lagging behind the development of micro film. Theoretical studies on the mechanism of micro film production and distribution and its creation mode also remain insufficient. Secondly, as a unique power in the culture industry, micro film also faces the challenges and influences from the changes in the cultural and economic sphere.This paper attempts to probe into the current development status of micro film in Chinese mainland and propose countermeasures for the problems occur in the course of development through analysis of Chinese micro film industry so as to provide theoretical reference for the study on micro film. |
