Speaking is consistently viewed as one of the most important aspects of languageproficiency. In spoken business Chinese course designed for foreign students, the needfor the students to speak up is emphasized. But how to turn the words and phrasesstudents have mastered into the ability to communicate in real-world scenarios andwhat teaching methodology to adopt to achieve those goals are important issues formany teachers.The author of this paper proposes using task-oriented teaching to design oralbusiness Chinese class. Through classroom monitoring, the author finds thatpre-designed coursework can meet students practicing demand and prompts them toparticipate in classroom exchanges. This paper introduces the pattern and feature oftask-oriented teaching, and analyses the features and problems of business Chinesespoken class. This paper mainly analyses five different types of task model and makesa teaching design according to each type, which shows the overall process of the useof task-oriented in business Chinese oral English course.In conclusion, task-oriented teaching is an efficient teaching method. Thoughstudents should take charge in classroom, teachers should fulfill their responsibility bydesigning coursework and doing preparation carefully. This requires the teacher to notonly fully grasp teaching methodology, but also prepare coursework and task forforeigner-oriented speaking course carefully, so that students can learn more fromspoken business Chinese course. |
