Ye Xianggao And His Writings Research

Ye Xianggao is a famous politician,bibliophile and calligrapher of the late Ming period,he was into the central twice and been the official Cabinet Minister.In the decades of his official career,Ye Xianggao had high diligent in writing and yielded fruitful results,his works have important historical value which reflect the chaotic political situation of the historical period of late Ming Dynasty and recorded several important side of the Ming dynasty in the process of decay.They also have important documentary value which reflected in his political career,literary achievements and shown his personal character.The research of Ye Xianggao are more focus on aspects of his political or literary value instead of organized Ye Xianggao’s writings systematically.Therefore,this paper aim at organize Ye Xianggao’s writings and make a catalog.This paper mainly uses the literature research method, including the initial stage of collected and read literature,then conduct research the literature which focusing on three parts including Ye Xianggao’s life, writings,the historical and literature value of his writings,then analyzed and discussed on the his writings’versions and circulation,finally organize all of his words and establish a list of existing writings of Ye Xianggao.
