In our country, the heating system is always charged by area,but there aresome issues such as the waste of energy and unreasonable fee by using it. Thekey processes of heating system reform include measurement of heat,commercialization and monetization of heat, and prompting the user to energysaving. Now the majority of heat measurement instrumentation needs people tometer reading, but it is inefficient and difficult to home. In this paper, the designof heat metering system is based on Ethernet technology, and it can measure theindoor heat without manual metering reading and personalize energy-savingcontrol.The system is composed of the heat meter, handheld devices, centralizedmeter-reading device, heating monitoring and management center. The heat metermeasures temperature and flow rate through time-to-digital converter combinedwith platinum resistor and ultrasonic sensors, and it use MSP430MCU tocomplete the calculation of heat value and control heat energy-saving. Thecommunication between heat meters is accomplished by ZigBee technology, andthen it forwards data which is from heat meters to centralized meter-readingdevice through the multi-level. Centralized meter-reading device uses CC2530RF chip as the control chip and Ethernet controller ENC28J60to realize networkconnection. It can transmit the data of centralized meter-reading device toheating monitoring and management center to realize the data transmission andwireless meter reading. Users can personally set the temperature of every roomthrough handheld devices, and the heating monitoring and management centermonitors heat meter through PC software.The characteristics of designed system include accurate measurement,convenient meter reading, reasonable of charge and also can provide convenientcharging service for users. Users can independently control the used heat to increase comfortable and reasonable of using heating, and it is also convenientfor heating department to intelligently manage the heating system. The systemcan not only meet the requirements of national energy-saving, but it also haswidely applicative foreground and market.
