Case Analysis Of ZHRT Project Schedule Management

PG company, founded in2002, mainly carries out the equipment project for natural gas power station, uses project management as the main method for daily management. As the main work, schedule management is so important that it could closely affect project’s success. Based on the former projects’valuable experience, this assay aims to improve the schedule management and earn much more profit for company.Project schedule management mainly conclude schedule plan and controlling.This assay takes ZHRT as an example, studies PG company’s project management mode from the perspective of schedule management. First of all introduces the specific details of the ZHRT project, with clear information and requirements of it. Regarding the schedule management, this assay adopts WBS, Networking chart, Gantt chart and other methods to introduce the process and result of project schedule management. Then finds out the main problem of schedule management, including barriers of compiling schedule, out of control for schedule and contradiction between related person, through looking up the related documents and files and summing up the former projects’experience. Analyses the above problem and gives the measures to play the positive role in perfecting the company’s management system.Through the analysis of factors which influence schedule management, points out PG company should setup the Three Level Schedule Management System, improve Responsibility System and Encouragement Mechanism, indicate the defect in sales, designing and purchasing process as well as what should be improved. To improve the schedule management to high level and provide the reference for projects in future by three aspects including management system and mechanism, work flow and work method.
