The Research Of Multi-function Vehicle Terminal System Based On Embedded Linux

With the rapid development of the electronic industry, more and more vehicle electronic equipments are starting to appear on the market. There are many types of these equipments, and most of them have single function. They have brought great inconvenience to us. According to this phenomenon, this paper puts a method, which can realize the multi-function vehicle terminal system. On the hardware side, S3C6410is chosen as the micro-processor, which is made by Samsung. S3C6410has integrated multimedia media processor module, it supports efficient and stable encoding/decoding of the Mpeg4and H.264video. S3C6410has the features that low cost and high performance. In this design, Embedded Linux is chosen as the software, which is a kind of Linux operation system that has been customized based on hardware. This system not only has the major function of Linux, but also has some other advantages, such as smaller volume and faster response speed.Two important directions in the development of vehicle electronic equipment are car-mounted multimedia and vehicle-mounted monitoring. This terminal perfectly integrates the two directions. In this system, car-mounted multimedia module can play MP3, and Mpeg4/H264video which have720*480pixels of the resolution. It also support full zoom. The vehicle-mounted monitoring module includes real-time video module, recording module, intelligent recording module, video playback module and network module. It not only can play the real-time video, record the video and replay the video, but also can record the video selectively by judging the state of the outside world. The network module supports the function of broadband line, and can play video in real time by web browsers.In this paper, all of above functions have been integrated highly by the design which is presented. The problems existed of automotive electronics in the market can be solved by this method.
