| As the important object of human activity, transportation has received the widespreadattention since ancient times. With the high speed development of economy and urbanization,transportation has constantly formed large, complex and open networks. The transportationnetwork spatial morphology consists of the internal structure characteristic of transportationnetwork, spatial distribution pattern, spatial evolution trend, etc. Study on the spatialmorphology quantitative analysis is helpful to realize the status and trend of the transportationdevelopment, beneficial to optimize the layout of the transportation network, andadvantageous to coordinate the development of society and economy. Aimed at the need ofgeographical national conditions statistics and analysis, this paper systematically studies theindicators and methods which based on graph theory, the fractal theory and complex networktheory. Combined with GIS technology, they are applied in the quantitative analysis of thehighway network in the spatial morphology of Jiangsu Province. The main research contentsand results are as follows:(1) The quantitative analysis indicators of transportation network spatial morphology.This paper summarizes the indicators of quantitative analysis for transportation networkspatial morphological by studying on the status of the domestic and foreign scholars. Itpresents the indicators to systematically quantitative analyses the spatial morphology oftransportation network. It’s mainly divided into the geometry of spatial morphologydescriptive indicators and topological spatial morphology descriptive indicators, whichincludes density, connectivity, coverage and complexity.(2) The calculation methods of analysis indicators for transportation network spatialmorphology.Based on the suggested analysis indicators of transport network spatial morphology andcontrastive analysis of existing calculation methods, this paper works out the optimum theoryand method by solving existing problem and analyzing the actual measurement, which mainlyincludes several methods such as the Kernel density method, the weighted length dimensionanalysis method, the density of the connectivity analysis method based on correlationdimension, the coverage analysis method based on the similar dimension, the complexityanalysis method of the statistical characteristic parameters and the introduction of the conceptof degree of branching dimension, etc. (3) Achieved quantitative analysis tools of transportation network spatial morphology.Based on the calculation method of the mathematical model and the process ofconstructing graphical model, this paper is achieved the spatial morphology supplementaryanalysis tools of the transportation network. Python script programming language is used tosolve the complex repetitive computation problem in the calculation process, and formascripting tools embedded graphical models with GIS software.(4) Application of spatial analysis indicators, method and the tools of quantitativeanalysis in Jiangsu province highway network.The spatial morphology of the highway network in Jiangsu province is quantitativeanalyzed according to the selected indicators of quantitative analysis, improved calculationmethod, as well as existing supplementary analysis tool. We can get the conclusion that theurbanization is quickly, the economy is relatively developed and highway level is higher ofthe gathering area of line density region, the level density distribution from Nanjing to thecoastal areas is gradually reduced, the network coverage patterns is relatively well andcomplex degree is not high, which shows there is scope for growth in internal structurecomplexity, covering morphology, perfect function etc. of spatial morphology of the roadnetwork. |
