Study On The Safety Of Hydrophilic Space In City Park

With the emergence of many city parks, various security problems frequently happen to visitors when they are playing in them. Therefore, this paper mainly deals with the security issues of the hydrophilic space of the city parks, hoping to create a safe hydrophilic space for visitors and provide guidance and help for the planning and design of the hydrophilic space.According to the mechanism of security incidents, security incidents often arise from the combination between the unsafe condition of objects and the insecure elements of human beings, it is the result of the interaction of various factors. This paper analyzes mainly from two aspects:the hidden danger of landscape elements in hydrophilic space of city park (the unsafe condition of objects) and visitor’s environmental behavior from the security angle(the insecure elements of human beings), and then uses Fish Bone Fig to comb the the hidden danger of hydrophilic space of city park, and at last proposes some measures that can be taken to reduce or eliminate the hidden danger of the hydrophilic space of city park1.The hidden danger of landscape elements in hydrophilic space of city park has been analyzed from five aspects:water landscape and hydrophilic facilities、garden road、 landscape material、garden plant and landscape communal facilities. The common hidden danger in the hydrophilic space includes tumble、drop、crash、puncture、bruise、cut、 sprain、tread; losing、glare、traffic accident、fire、exploding、electric shock、catching disease、the danger from landscape equipment failure; falling into water、drowning、hitting by sea wave and sea tide、the danger of manual waterscape; the dangers from the animal and plant、the offender disturbing and so on.2. The analysis of visitor’s environmental behavior from the security angle mainly uses questionnaire survey、Literature Searching and field research. According to the questionnaire survey, this paper draws the following conclusions:(1) When there is a conflict between the landscape and safety,89%visitors will choose safety.(2)71%of visitors pay high attention to security question when they are playing in the hydrophilic space, yet minors are considerably less concerned about security question than adults.(3) The rate of incidence for visitors unsafe hydrophilic behavior without railings and warning signs,with warning signs and without railings, with railings and warning signs is32%,15%,6%respectively.Therefore,setting guardrail and warning sign can significantly reduce the insecure hydrophilic behavior of visitors. 3.According to consulting literature, this paper clears up and analyzes the psychological factors that induce the insecure environmental behavior of visitors, such as blindness conformity、chance、curiousness、take a shortcut、relax excessively and so on, which can reduce the visitors’security awareness or take insecure environmental behavior. Through the investigation of the visitors’environmental behavior, this paper finds that the visitors can take the insecure environmental behavior which may lead to safety accidents when their normal needs aren’t being met and when the visitors take action for their normal needs anywhere and when their behavior is not in conformity with the rules.4. This paper uses Fish Bone Fig to comb the hidden danger of landscape elements in hydrophilic space of city park, and finds that the space security and visitors’behavior security should be considered to reduce or eliminate the hidden danger of landscape elements in hydrophilic space of city park. To guarantee the security of hydrophilic space in city park, the construction personnel and management personnel should do their own work well. In addition, landscape architect’s responsibility is equally significant. Landscape architect must see to it that the landscape is safe at the beginning of design, and know clearly the function of it, analyze and study the visitors’physiological and psychological need, and avoid landscape space inducing the insecure environmental behavior and use the technique of landscape architecture to avoid the insecure environmental behavior of visitors. The key to reduce or eliminate the insecure environmental behavior of visitors is to improve their safety consciousness. In addition, Authorities concerned can strengthen the security education of visitors by means of Safety propaganda activities. When the visitors are playing in city park, Park management personnel, the guardian of a minor and visitors need to strengthen supervision to the insecure environmental behavior.
