Recently, the design and construction of MOFs have attracted increasing attention, and numerous MOFs have been reported not only because of their intriguing variety of crystal structures and topologies, but also for their potential applications in gas storage, catalysis, drug delivery, luminescence, nonlinear optics, magnet and sensing. In this thesis, by using the newly synthesized rigid ligands and alkaline-earth metal, and transition metal, eight novel metal-organic complexes have been synthesized and determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, elemental analysis and flurescence spectroscopy. The thesis is divided into three chapters, each chapter is as follows:In chapter one:A brief introduction of the coordination chemistry, metal-organic frameworks and other basic concepts and principles. We focus on the applications of coordination polymers in gas storage, catalysis, luminescence sensing and magnet.In chapter two, three microporous metal-organic frameworks [Ba2(H2LOMe)2(NMP)·NMP]n (1),[[Mg2(LOMe)(H2O)2(DMA)2]n (4),[Ca(LOMe)0.5(H20)2]n (5) were synthesized and characterized based on a new anthracene-functionalized tetracarboxylic acid.[Ba(H2LOMe)o.5(H20)-4H20]n (2) and [[Ba(H2LOMe)0.5]n (3) were transformed from compound1. In this chaper, we will focus on the characters of complex1:highly thermal stability, single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation and high sensing of DMSO molecule.In chapter three:Five coordination polymers based on newly designed5,5’-(2,3,6,7-tetramethoxyanthracene-9,10-diyl)diisophthalic acid (H4LOMe):[Mn4(LOMe)(OAc)2(μ3-OH)2(NMP)4(H2O)2]·2H2O(6),[Ni2(LOMe)0.5(H2LOMe)o.5(μ3-OH)(H20)3]-6H20(7),[Cd2(LOMe)(H2O)2(NMP)]-2DMF-NMP-H2O (8),[Co2(LOMe)(H2O)2]-2NMP-DMA-2H2O (9),[Zn2(LOMe)(H2O)2]-2NMP-2H2O-DOE (10) were prepared by solvothermal methods and displaying different topos networks.
