| [objective] To provide theoretical basis for the application of Hericium coralloids, the nutrition components of Hericium coralloids and the effects of its polysaccharide on immune function in mice are investigated.[methods] The protein, fat, ash content, soluble sugar content of Hericium coralloids were determined by the national standard method; Mineral elements are determined by Inductive Coupled Plasma Emission Spectrometer; The content of amino acids are determined by Hitachi L-8900amino acid analyzer; Antioxidant activity of Hericium coralloids polysaccharide in vitro is determined by the total reducing power, the scavenging capacity of DPPH·, superoxide anion radical (O2-·), hydroxyl radical (·OH) and lipid oxidation inhibiting activity;48healthy mice were randomly divided into control group, low dose group (100mg/kg), middle dose group (200mg/kg) and high dose (400mg/kg)(female:male=1:1). After4weeks, the levels of MDA and the activity of T-AOC, SOD, CAT, GSH-PX in serum, heart, liver, kidney and organ indexes, blood routine, serum antibody IgG were examined.[results](1) Dry Hericium coralloids fruit body contains25.45%crude protein,6.44%crude fat,44.24%soluble total sugar,7.12%ash. Many necessary mineral elements exist in Hericium coralloids fruit body as Fe, Ca, Mg, Zn and so on. There were18kinds of amino acid, in which8kinds of essential amino acid were6.92%.(2) Hericium coralloids polysaccharide has certain antioxidant activity. Values of the ability of antioxidant increased with increasing the concentrations of polysaccharide. At2mg/mL, the absorbance of reducing powers was0.482, DPPH·ã€O2-·and·OH scavenging rate, and lipid oxidation inhibiting activity were80.1%,91.72%,94.33%and68.7%repectively. Hericium coralloids polysaccharide can increase the contents of T-AOC, SOD, GSH-Px, CAT and decrease the levels of MDA in organ and serum.(3) Hericium coralloids polysaccharide can increase immune function in mice. Compared to the normal control, in middle and high dose group, each organ indexes were significantly increased (P<0.05) and thymus index was remarkably significantly increased (P<0.01); in high dose group, the total white blood cells was significantly increased (P<0.01); lymphocytes percentage, monocyte percentage, T lyphocytes percentage were significantly increased (P<0.05) in middle dose group and were were remarkably significantly increased (P<0.01) in high dose group; neutrophil percentage was significantly decreased (P<0.05) in low dose group and was remarkably significantly decreased (P<0.01) in middle and high dose group; IgG in blood serum was remarkably significantly decreased (P<0.01) in middle and high dose group.[conclusion] Hericium coralloids was a kind of high protein, high minerals and rich in amino acids of edible fungi; it has a certain antioxidant activity in vivo and vitro; it also can enhance the immune function of mice. |
