China, Japan and South Korea are all located in the Yellow Sea region ongeographically speaking, the three all have vast waters, and their aquaculturedevelopment take a vital position in the international aquaculture and aquatic producttrade. So the analysis on trade of aquatic products among the three countries has avery important practical significance. Aquatic products trade is an important andsensitive issue in the trade between the three countries. In recent years, in the contextof the development of global economic integration and communication, the actionsuch as regional cooperation taken by China, Japan and South Korea on the trade ofaquatic products is not enough to satisfy the development needs of aquatic trade. Thebuilding of FTA between China, Japan and South Korea will provide a new platformfor the development of economic cooperation, and continuously improve the level ofbilateral economic and trade relations among the three countries, and generated thedevelopment of aquaculture trade in the three countries, to improve the standard ofliving of the populations of welfare, to promote the upgrade of aquaculture inindustrial structure, enhance the development of aquaculture throughout the region.The paper is divided into the following four levels: First, the theory ofcomparative advantage in international economics, and follow-up to the factorendowment theory, the theory of intra-industry trade, ecological economics, theory ofcustoms union and free trade theory build a theoretical framework of the followingresearch. Second, profile analysis and empirical analysis of aquatic products tradebetween China, Japan and South Korea. Here we give a comprehensive introductionto the development of aquatic products of the three countries, quantitative analysis ofthe status of the tripartite trade of aquatic products, we use all kinds of index tools to get competition and complementary in research, as well as intra-industry trade indexfor empirical research. The results show that the level of trade within the aquaticindustry in the three countries has been at a high level, and aquatic products trade ofthe three countries have different competitive index of competition and cooperation,so the FTA will promote the development of the aquaculture trade in the threecountries. Third, analysis of the economic effects of the Free Trade Area of China,Japan and South Korea to the aquatic products trade. First we use intra-industry trademodel pointed out that the establishment of the FTA trade in aquatic products industryin the three countries produce; gravity model and the Balassa model analysis of theFree Trade Area of the static economic effects on aquatic products in China, Japanand South Korea; then we analyze the dynamic economic effects of the aquacultureIndustry of China, Japan and South Korea; Finally, this paper attempts to givesuggestion to develop the aquaculture and the promote free trade of aquatic productsof the three countries under the context of FTA, and hope to be scientific developmentreference of the entire Asia-Pacific region aquaculture policy reference.The innovation of this paper is not only for the total trade of aquatic products,and it also has specific analysis of the three between different categories of aquaticproducts trade, so that the analysis is more precise; not only analyzed the three aquaticproducts trade competitive and complementary to each one, and also analyzed theeconomic effects and potential of trade economic integration of the three countriesaquaculture, what’s more, dynamic economic effects is also made according tocorresponding analysis; we used variety of analysis tools in the research of traderelations,and used multiple models to study the ecological and economic effects ofthe three countries, to achieve a systematic and comprehensive analysis of aquaticproducts trade in the three countries as far as possible.
