A Study Of Value-based Ecotourism Planning

In this paper, the value theory is introduced as the basic tool for ecotourism planning. The ecotourism system is analyzed completely and systematically, using value analysis method. Then a value-based ecotourism planning framework is built up on this base, and applied to the Beijing Songshan National Nature Reserve ecotourism planning process.The core content of this paper is value-based ecotourism planning method. The first chapter analyzes the development background and research situation at home and abroad of ecotourism, finds that China’s ecotourism planning existing lots of problems, and points out that it is necessity to analyze and examine ecotourism in value perspective. And then the content framework of this study is designed on this basis; The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the research, through the related literature review and. Especially reviews the concept of ecotourism, ecotourism system theory, tourism stakeholder theory and method of ecotourism planning; In the third chapter, value theory and value analysis method are introduced. Using such theory, Ecotourism system and ecotourism stakeholders, which are the theory basis of value-based ecotourism planning, are analyzed; The fourth chapter researching and discussing value-based ecotourism planning method, is the core of this paper; Chapter5combined this theory with Songshan ecotourism planning, which is guided by such theory, the feasibility and effect of this method is tested at the same time; The final chapter is a summary of the value-based ecotourism planning method. The insufficiency of this study and the prospect of further study is also pointed out in this chapter.
