In the fields of radar, sonar, microwave-imaging and electronic-countermeasure,the application of array signal processing is more and more widespread. It is indicatedthat channel mismatch severely restricts the performance of array signal processing suchas adaptive side-lobe cancellation(ASLC), and digital beam-forming(DBF).First of all, the reasons of errors among channels are given, and the channelmismatch models are built. And then the influences of this mismatch on ASLC andDBF are showed by simulations. Secondly, the approaches of channel equalization areintroduced, which are based on the model of finite-duration impulse response (FIR)coefficients disturbance. And the great emphases are put on the applications of leastmean squares (LMS) and recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm in terms of thecriterions of LMS and least squares (LS) respectively. At the same time, the impacts ofsome factors are discussed such as the variance of disturbance errors, the order ofequalizer, and the initializations of the algorithm on equalizations in detail.
