This paper is about the metro-newspaper, metro-newspaper is kind of freenewspaper which spread and read in metros. As many people knows, now the traditiontypes of newspaper is going down, but since1995, metro-newspaper really did a greatjob all around the world in Sweden. China made its own metro-newspaper inShanghai,2004. Then it’s all over the whole country, many cities are joining this projectin a few years. So why the tradition types of newspaper is in a negative situation butthe metro-newspaper in the contrary? This paper is showing the development progressof metro-newspaper, using news communication theory as tools, gathering the successfulexperiences. After metro Line1and Line2is completed in Shenyang,“Mero First” wasmade in14, February,2012.This paper is predicting the future development ofmetro-newspaper in Shenyang.There are five parts of this paper. The first part is reviewing the history ofmetro-newspaper all over the world. Second part is analyzing the reason for the rising ofmetro-newspaper in social background, economy principle and communication theory.Third part summarize the own features of metro-newspaper, including the audience,content and management. Of course, everything has its own weakness, even it’s seemshas a bright future, the bottleneck restrictions will sooner or later show up, so the fourthpart predicting this kind of situation in the future, and the last part is about thedevelopment direction of the metro-newspaper.
