As a kind of special application forms of ad hoc network, wireless sensor network can be a various phenomena of the physical world were and it can be detected, and converted into data to be processed and analyzed. Based on the current level of technology, the sensor nodes in the network will be subject to the limitation of battery energy, so energy saving has become an important research topic for the wireless sensor network. The topology control technology in the energy-saving problem of wireless sensor network plays an important role and the factor of energy consumption is affected by the influence and restriction of the technology.The main goal of this paper is to ensure the basic network performance, through the optimization of topology control technology based on clustering algorithm, to maximize the reduction of wireless sensor network node energy consumption, to prolong the lifetime of the whole network load balancing network. Based on this, this paper first introduces the research background and topology control technology based on clustering algorithm of wireless sensor network. Then, starting from the wireless sensor node and network structure of wireless sensor network, this paper analyzes the necessity of network energy efficiency, and factors that affect the energy consumption of the network. After analyzing the factors affecting energy consumption of the network, this paper focuses on the analysis of influence that is affected by the topology control technology based on clustering algorithm and introduces several representative clustering algorithm of wireless sensor network. Through comparison of the selected algorithm, one of the most characteristic and representative protocol that is selected is Leach. From the election of cluster heads and optimizing the cluster head transmission path angle,leach is improved to achieve a more energy-saving algorithm, which is based on the established OPNET simulation model and the simulation analysis of the leach and the improved algorithm. The last chapter, from the goal of the load of the equilibrium network,this paper puts forward a method to optimize the topology control technology, in order not only to prolong the network lifetime, but also carry it out based on OPNET simulation analysis and verify the implementation of the proposed idea.
