Design And Implementation Of The SDYU’s Digital Registration System Based On Portal

In the recent years, with the development of higher education in China, thepopulation of university students is becoming larger and larger increasingly. It is alsobecoming heavier and heavier for universities to receive new students. In the mode ofconcentrated enrollment to universities, it will take one or two days for universities tofulfill the task. When the number of new students is smaller, universities wouldconcentrate all the resources to complete all the procedures of enrollment manually.However, if the population of the new students is increasing very rapidly, a lot ofdrawbacks will be exposed in this mode, such as lagging in delivery of statistics,slowness in gathering status of enrollment, inefficiency in adjusting management, etc.This introduces to us a new subject for further research.At the same time, due to the improvement of information technology, theapplication of IT in universities becomes more and more popular, and somemanagement systems have been established respectively in different departments ofuniversities, which provides to us a sound and efficient technological support to solvethe problems in receiving new universities students.This paper, firstly, makes a brief introduction to the background for the study andthe establishment of a digital enrollment management system, and then makes afurther analysis about the requirements of our university. Secondly, it makes a choiceof the applied technology and a functional design. Thirdly, it analyzes the ways insolving some key problems in fulfilling the purpose, analyzes and builds a modelabout the data used in receiving the new students. Finally, it puts forward some newideas and methods to make necessary improvement in practice in accordance with theproblems exposed in application.
