In South China Sea, West Sand and Nan sha Islands, which are rich in fishery andmineral resources, and its position is extremely important.Depleting land resources makes thedevelopment of marine resources more and more urgent, with the changing of Chinese navy’sstrategic task, the establishment of highly reliable long-range acoustic communicationsystems have become essential.The main content of this article is to design a transponder for underwater data,which is akind of half-duplex communication system.It can receive the marine environment monitoringdata from time to time, the using of spread spectrum communications algorithms makes thedata modulated in spread spectrum signal, which is sent to underwater acoustic channel, thehost computer receives the signal and demodulates the data. System is mainly composed oftwo parts, the underwater part is the data transponding system, the other are the PC, thetransducer and the PC application software,which is with appropriate communicationalgorithms. Using of the system can be stable, accurate and easy to implement environmentalmonitoring data’s recovery and storage.Staff are no need to pick up the equipment outsides,and data storage capabilities of the system can store data for several days,avoiding the impactof the environment to recycle marine environmental monitoring data.My main jobs include hardware platform based on MSP430single-chip analogconditioning circuit, ARM digital signal processing circuit board, and they achieve theinterconnection with the floor board. Software includes with wake-up signal recognitionalgorithm(1024-point fast Fourier transform)and etc, ARM digital signal processing circuitboard applications, and related driver applications. The job of my article also includes that thedata transponding system is needed to be tested in marine environment.
