| Reliability prediction is an important task in the product research and designprocess. Physics-of-Failure based reliability prediction method, which is in fullcompliance with IEEE1413standard, has gradually become an alternative totraditional manual type reliability prediction methods due to its advanced technologyand science.In accordance with the failure of physical methods’ process, this paper collectsand analyzes the common failure mechanisms and reliability prediction models. Andalso derive the reliability prediction model for the devices from failure mechanismprediction models based on competitive model.In the study of system-level reliability prediction, this paper studies thephysics-of-failure based reliability of the system contains multiple devices orsubsystems in the multiple failure mechanism. A combination method of thephysics-of-failure based reliability prediction and the Failure Mode, Mechanism andEffect Analysis is proposed to comprehensively assess the reliability of electronicsystems.Finally, this paper also has completed the software implementation (Reliasis) ofthe basic theory. The software can visually display the module hierarchy of electronicsystem being analyzed. It’s convenient to use this software to predict the reliability ofthe electronic components and system, and also to have Failure Mode, Mechanism andEffect Analysis. |
