As the core component of motion control, the motion controller has significant influceon the product quality and production efficiency. In recent years, with the development ofmotion control technology, there is a great significance to develop motion controllers withhigher efficiency, higher precision and higher performance. In this paper, a high-speedmotion controller based on TMS320F28335DSC has been developed to raise control speedand to improve positioning accuracy of motion control, by utilizing the high-speedfloating-point data processing capability of the TMS320F28335DSC.Firstly, the paper describes the development of motion controllers at home and abroad,and analyses the basic characteristics of the DSP and its application in motion controller. Thehybrid fuzzy control algorithm has been proposed based on the mathematical model of anAC permanent magnet servo motor and motion control algorithms. Then the workingprinciple of the control algorithm and the effects to improve the positioning accuracy of themotion controller have been described in detail.Secondly, the hardware of a high-speed motion controller has been developed based onthe TMS320F28335DSC, which includes a main circuit, the function and auxiliary circuits,etc. The software of the motion controller have been developed in C language on theCCStuido v3.3development platform. The overall software architecture and variousfunctional modules have been presented.Finally, a3D CNC platform has been built. Five experiments have been conducted totest the overall function of the high-speed motion controller, which include linear andcircular interpolation, precise positioning, linear and S-curve acceleration-decelerationcontrol. These experiments show that the developed motion controller can meet high-speedand high precise positioning well.
