Research And Practice On KVM Sharing Switch With Physical Isolator

With the rapid development of the IT industry in our country, the information content continues to expand in all walks of life, network security becomes worse. It is a solution to the design flaws, which are the foundation of firewalls, and it is widely used in many important systems. Therefore, the state has the higher requirements in terms of data security. The computer information systems concerning to the state security are not allowed to connect with the internet or other public information network directly or indirectly only in the case that physical isolation has been done. The physical isolation technology strips out all TCP/IP, and it doesn’t depend on operation systems. It disconnects internal web from the Internet at the physical layer. But the current KVM equipment basically has no physical isolation function, then the decided to develop the KVM based on physical isolation. The research can has realism meaning for products’performance and competition.This thesis studies as following:the overall design for KVM physical isolation, including the refinement of the functional modules and the design of development program. According to the overall design, various parts of the key technology has been researched and achieved in accordance with the functional modules. It mainly contains:first, it achieves complete physical isolation under the sharing condition with the peripherals KVM equipment. Secondly it makes true to improve the efficiency through automatic switching with controlling compute. Third, it can get to standby password protection and ensure that the data security of the "vacuum" time. Furthermore, the design can also set the parameters for each function making it possible to restore to the default value and can be easily repaired. Finally, it uses IO port to simulate the data transmission of the PS/2interface keyboard and mouse, in order to achieve a plug-and-play function. On the basis, research and develop the corresponding software of the KVM.This thesis gives detailed procedures and explanations in the accomplishment process of the hardware and software.Through its connection test actually, accomplishes the KVM sharing switch with physical isolator which has been put into use.
