Research Of Smes’ Collaboration Supported Process Interoperability And Dynamic Process Management

With the profound influence of economic globalization, enterprises are eager to make use of the collaboration to improve the competitiveness of selves. To make use of extern resources and capture business opportunities efficiently, enterprises automatically form virtual enterprise and dynamic alliance. In this environment, enterprise interoperability emerges as the times require. Enterprises more urgently need the benefit of the enterprise interoperability research result for collaborating efficiently.Because of the limit of self scale and fund, small and medium-sized enterprises often need to collaborate with other enterprises and form enterprises cluster for competing and developing together. Generally, this relationship of collaboration also involves multiple levels and multiple dimensions. From the industry vertical perspective, small and medium-sized enterprises are often confined to some aspect of the production in the industrial chain; therefore, there are a large number of collaboration between small and medium-sized enterprises and their upstream and downstream enterprises in the longitudinal direction. From the industry lateral perspective, small and medium enterprises because of their self size limit are insufficient of capacity in undertaking large orders or projects, and can make themselves gather more resources in short time, complete the orders or projects, strive for more benefit through cooperation with other enterprises cooperation or joint commitment and business outsourcing. Business processes of those small and medium-sized enterprises involved in cooperation are different and have their own specific characteristics, which directly result in the interaction problem between processes in the procedure of the small and medium-sized enterprises collaboration. In addition, the self business of the small and medium-sized enterprises also appears in the feature of small quantities and many batches, and the business processes also change with the real time situation of the enterprises interior, so the dynamics and real-time of business processes are relatively strong. Therefore, the research of SMES’ collaboration supported process interoperability and solution of dynamic process problem has become the urgent problem for the small and medium enterprises to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the collaboration.This paper oriented for the small and medium-sized enterprises cooperation, focuses on the interoperability method of the process level and the dynamic process problem caused by the prevalence of small quantities and many batches business feature in the small and medium-sized enterprises and the dynamic complex change of the process relationship. In the course of research, should give full consideration to the small and medium-sized enterprises’ survival present situation, begin with the effort to reduce costs, improve efficiency, optimize the allocation of resources, and make the greatest contribution for better support to the small and medium-sized enterprises’collaboration and development.This paper based on an enterprise interoperability framework having a five levels’structure containing data level, service level, process level, business level and presentation level and supporting the cooperation of the small and medium-sized enterprises, launches on the deep research on process interoperability. The process interoperability method supporting the small and medium-sized enterprises’ collaboration reorganizes the life cycle of process interoperability, and aiming at the different stages of the life cycle:build-time and run-time provide solutions and tools according to the interoperation range classification.This paper also designs a specific process model--NHDE (Nested Hierarchical and Dynamic Extension Supported Process Model) process model which has a simplified process activity node type as the meta-model of process interoperability in achieving different model definition process conversion. The process model with the single process activity node type resorts to a relatively simple activity node relationship of activity nodes for consisting of linear process sequence, and form complex processes by the hierarchically nested components of these simple linear process sequences. This unique design is easy to achieve process dynamics, at the same time of solving process interaction in the small and medium-sized enterprises’ collaboration, also solves the process dynamic problem brought by the small and medium-sized enterprises’ business characteristics.Finally, combining with the implementation of the prototype system, this paper gives the application scenarios and examples in detail to explain the small and medium enterprises’ collaboration supported process interoperability method’s detail application and NHDE process model’s support for small and medium enterprises dynamic process.
