Nowadays, the building energy efficiency has becomed a topic of concern. The energyconsumption of a central air conditioning system takes up more than50percents of itstotal energy consumption of the modern buildings, while providing people with a comfortableworking and living environment. Among them, the source of cold air conditioningsystems account for most of the energy consumption of air conditioning system. As a result,usly significant to design a cold source group control system of central airconditioning for energy efficiency and management.It’s hard to get the mathematical model of a central air conditioning system because of itsfeatures of highly nonlinear, strong coupling, uncertainty and large delay. But, the traditionalcontrol technology based on mathematical model is still used widely in central airconditioning control. It will not be ideal for the adaptability and energy-saving effect whenrunning condition changes. Fuzzy control technology is based on the fuzzy mathematics. Itwill greatly improve the control ability, adaptability and rationality of the control algorithm bysimulating human and decision-making process. The fuzzy controltechnology is used in this paper for the improvement of stability and energy saving of a coldsource group control system of central air conditioning. In this paper, we choose the Siemensproducts of PLC S7-300(CPU315-2DP) as the fuzzy controller.A upper computer monitoring system is designed for the convenience of intelligentmanagement to the central air conditioning system. The configuration software namedHMIBuilder3.2is used to develop a set of functions in the application layer. It can simulatethe running conditions of the field devices, to gather statistics, give an alarm and analyse theenergy efficiency, and so on, through data configuration, screen configuration and scriptingand other operations.
