Photonic crystal fiber has been under the attention of people for its excellent quality, and now it is the hybrid ordered random-hole optical fibers which is drawn lots of attention. However, most of the study of this kind of fiber is carried out through experiments and theoretical analysis is relatively little, especially in domestic. For this reason, the theoretical analysis of the hybrid ordered random-hole optical fibers is introduced and its optical properties are studied deeply in the thesis. At last, transmission properties of optical solitons in photonic crystal fiber are discussed.According to the analysis of the hybrid ordered random-hole optical fibers which the random-hole-group are distributed in a hexagon way, we find that its dispersion properties changed hardly when the big holes are replaced by the random-hole-group partially or completely. However, the lower confinement loss or the higher effective mode area can be achieved if the big holes are replaced reasonably.Due to the analysis in-depth of the hybrid ordered random-hole optical fibers which the random-hole are distributed in an annular way, annular random-hole optical fiber, we find that the lower confinement loss can be achieved as the higher effective mode area is gaining. And because of the random property of the hole, when the optical properties vary small by the change of the structural parameters, the influence made by random property will become obvious, the changing rule which is different from the ordered-hole photonic crystal fiber can be achieved. In order to realize the light-guide qualities of the photonic crystal fiber further, transmission properties of optical solitons in photonic crystal fiber are studied in this thesis. We analyze the influence on optical solitons exerted by nonlinear effect, such as third-order dispersion, self-steeping, inter-pulse Raman scattering, and compare the change of the optical solitons caused by different nonlinear effect.
