Vocational College student self-management as an important part of Vocational College student management in the current, and also as a foundation and guarantee for student learning, life and future development, its implementation immediately impact on both the effectiveness of the student management, which takes into account the educational function, and the quality of student learning, life in college, even about the future of students learning, living and life-long development. However, under the long-term guidance of the concept of traditional education and traditional management, both the subject and the form of vocational college student management are single. And it only emphasis on the effect of management, but neglects the student self-awareness and initiative. This model with possession on behalf of the education makes the management of student serious deficiencies exist in the educational function. With the rapid development of science and technology and the information age’s coming, the rhythm and pace of people production and living are continuously adjusted with the environment changes. And the capacity of student independent thinking, social adaptation and self-renewal are receiving unprecedented challenges. Therefore, effectively carried out student self-management in vocational college, encouraging student enhancing the consciousness and responsibility in learning and life, improving their consciousness and enthusiasm of self-control, self-monitoring, these are very vital important for vocational college training. In this study, on the basis of combing the relevant literature about self-management at home and abroad, do research on student self-management in four vocational college of Dalian and Fushun, and analysis the situation from family, school, community and vocational college student characteristics. Then from the changing concepts of education, to carry out self-management education; to improve the teaching process, teaching management optimization; strengthen the institutional culture and strengthen teacher quality aspect to propose the measures for strengthening Vocational College student self-management.
