Since the New Curriculum Reform started, great changes have taken place in the aspects such as curriculum contents, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation. Curriculum standard replaces the previous teaching program, which contains the three-dimensional target—knowledge and skills, process and methods, and attitudes and values. The three-dimensional target advocates more diversity of teaching methods in curriculum implementation, and teachers should inspire students to participate and think actively and learns to cooperate. New curriculum Reform promotes us to improve our teaching modes in order to achieve the curriculum objectives. After its entry into education fields from social science fields, participatory approach has shown its extraordinary vitality. Participatory Approach represents the teaching ideas of student-centered and is consistent with the basic theories of Humanism, Constructivism and Multiple Intelligences. Autonomous Learning in the new curriculum equals the individual participation in the participatory approach while cooperative learning in the former is equal to the mass participation in the latter. Therefore, having the participatory research in the physics teaching in senior high school has positive meaning to the physics curriculum reform. The introduction shows the background, contents and structures to be researched on as well as methods and trains of thought. The second part discusses the analysis of the present situation of learning and teaching of senior physics, including theory basis:the theory of Constructivism, the theory of Humanism, the theory of Multi-intelligences and so on, all of which support Participatory Approach. In its theoretical analysis, the contents of teaching modes and strategies and principles are discussed. Necessities and feasibilities are also analyzed. The third part is the analysis on high school teaching and learning situation. Through questionnaires and statistics, author gives detailed analysis on the problems and the positive factors lying in high school physics learning and teaching, before he draws the conclusion and also receives revelation. The fourth part shows the contents of classroom teaching practice under the instruction of the theory of Participatory Approach, giving teaching cases of teaching new lessons and exercises lessons.Part Five analyses the results of teaching practice, including evaluations from students and peers and self reflection of the researcher.
