Metrical Study On The Coordinate Compound Words In Shuihuzhuan

The coordinate compound words occupies an important position in Chinesecompound words, and is one of the major word formation type of Chinese compoundwords. Coordinate compound words has emerged in the Western Zhou Dynasty, after therapid development of the pre-Qin and the Middle Ages it’s been mature in moderntimes.Comparitively, It is productive of more compound words than other word fomationmethods. the coordinate compound words study has an important role in promoting thestudy of modern Chinese word formation. This paper selects the coordinate compoundwords in the ShuiHuZhuan as the object of study, using exhaustive statistics, the method ofcombining synchronic and diachronic, comprehensive survey and the typical analysis,describe and analysis these coordinate compound words from grammatical structure,semantic type, word order comprehensively and ystematicly, reveal their development, andprovide a reference for the study of modern Chinese coordinate compound words.The paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter introduces briefly the current situation of coordinate compoundwords and the coordinate compound words in ShuiHuZhuan to determine the criteria ofthis study method and compound words.The second chapter investigates the grammer structure of coordinate compound wordsin ShuiHuZhuan. Start with the distribution of the wholeparts of speech, and then fromnouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions, pronouns, numerals,respectively to examine the internal structure of the coordinate compound words.The third chapter analyzes the parallel predefined types of coordinate compoundwords in ShuiHuZhuan. Focus from the relationship between the morphemes meaning andrelationship between parameter configuration morphemes and words meaning, for a comprehensive and objective understanding the semantic situation of the coordinatecompound words in the ShuiHuZhuan.Chapter4, the phenomenon of Synonymous clustering with ambiguity clustering andin ShuiHuZhuan is more prominent, through its analysis, to deepen the understanding ofcoordinate compound words in ShuiHuZhuan.Chapter5summarizes the characteristics of the coordinate compound words inShuiHuZhuan, comparing with modern chinese and shows the historical status ofcoordinate compound words in ShuiHuZhuan.
