| Based on the textbook evaluation theory of Cunningsworth(1984), the analysisstudies on the character textbook “Chinese Characters Easy to Learn; Starter†fromthree aspects: selection, grading and presentation of language items. It is concludedthat the textbook wins its advantage in selection and grading language items. Thearrangement of different language items is quite clear; important items in characterlearning all are involved in; the relation between each single item are attached withgreat attention. However, apart from some tiny shortages, the really serious problemslie in the small amount of the words and sentences and monotonous presentation ofnew items. |
