| Nowadays energy issues and how to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is attracting attention. As an alternative fuel, ethanol fuel is imperative. Ethanol fuel is used in various forms through out the world. The most commonly used method is that10%(E10) ethanol mixture replace the conventional gasoline. E10fuel mixing radio is low, the result of replacing oil and energy-saving effect is limited in recent years. E85(ethanol mixing rate is85%) has been used in the United States, Europe and Brazil. However, the rapid expansion of fuel ethanol using on vehicles brought technical challenges. High concentrations of ethanol, result in the decrease of fuel vaporizing at low temperatures, resulting in poor cold start performance. The purpose of this study, at first, we find out ethanol gasoline fuel properties, and secondly, come up with the engine cold start conditions required E85as fuel,.One of the main reasons affecting E85fuel promotion is that E85car cold start deteriorate at low temperatures. This is mainly because the ethanol evaporating under low temperature is poor, in addition to the large latent heat of vaporization, evaporation further reduces engine inlet or cylinder temperature, causing a problem in cold start difficulties or longer warm-up time. The easiest way of improving the low-temperature cold start in ethanol is to add a small amount of volatile components (the light hydrocarbon components, dimethyl ether, etc.).This method can improve the E85fuel evaporation and the amount of distillate at low temperature, achieving the purposes of improvement of Cold Start. High concentrations ethanol fuel in ethanol mixed with volatile components to improve the low-temperature cold start performance is causing public concern. It is necessary to find out fuel properties of high concentrations ethanol fuel. This paper introduces an electronic control motorcycle single-cylinder machine control system. The device can display the parameters of the storage engine. And you can manually control the engine’s fuel injection pulse width, injection advance angle and other parameters, adjusted to the optimum operation of the engine.After a full analysis of the physical and chemical properties of ethanol fuel, we conduct cold start test, distillation range test, the Reid vapor pressure test using the the motorcycle single cylinder engine. Experimental results show that:E85Reid vapor pressure83.6kPa has exceeded the level of regular gasoline with the use of added ethanol topped oil. Distillation range test showed that10%of their distillation temperature has dropped4℃compared to gasoline. The cold start test showed that E85cold start has reached the level of gasoline. |
