| As one of the national’s mainly security industry, the postal industry’s safety production takes heavy responsibility and is an arduous task, due to it relates to people’s lives, national’s property and social stability. Some senders put some dangerous goods in the postal parcels consciously or unconsciously, owing to restrictions of personal knowledge, such as the behavior that opening customers’packages then inspecting them, it not only related to the customer’s own human rights and privacy issues, but also needed long time to check and lots of inspectors, caused incompatible of many aspects and waste of resources. Moreover, the phenomenon of missing inspection happened at times, which directly affected the security of the postal system. The events of accident, almost were malignant, they caused a great threat to people’s lives and property and were incompatible with technological development. Nowadays, with the continuous development of science and technology, criminals and terrorists also used high and new technology to produce kinds of new high-tech weapons, explosives etc., may be put them in the postal parcels, hence, many countries have placed increasing emphasis on the packets’inspection. Therefore, designing and developing new security equipment plays a very important role in preventing from occurring such harm.By examining the existing security model and the needs of the postal system, a multi-information fusion mail sorter’s overall design was proposed and designed in this research, as well as data acquisition of several packets’detectors and multi-information data reconstruction. In this paper, the hardware and software of mail sorter were mainly studied. The theories and application methods of various components were mainly introduced, have laid a good foundation for the realization of a comprehensive computer security checks on the packets. Through the integrated application of various information technology, realizing the bar code information, electronic nose detection information, neutron detection information, parcel X-ray image information, staff information and security equipment information’s collection, storage, and integration associated in the process of packets’security inspection, proposing integrative information-based solutions of the packets’security checks. About the security checks station that collecting Parcels’photos, videos and work on-site video, this research expanded video capabilities, realized remote monitoring capabilities by video; it also increased aggregate statistics of packets and comparison of query function, and displayed by curve’s effect; as well as the function that maintaining information of security equipment and staff. Thus, through multiple testing, to ensure the parcels are safe. |
