| The state of the excitation system concerns the performance of the generator and thetechnical indicators of the power system. Monitoring is of the utmost importance for theexcitation system. The monitoring and display module of the excitation system in this thesis isthe key link of monitoring and controlling the excitation system state on site, and the bridge offield and center control room.This subject focuses mainly on the major approach to achieve monitoring the excitationsystem including the hardware and software based on Freescale’s HCS12X series of16-bitmicrocontroller. In the hardware aspect, in need of the amount information of monitoring theexcitation, the overall program of exciting information collection is analyzed. Themicroprocessor circuit board, LCD display circuit board, communication board and the design ofthe data acquisition board are complicated and the principle and function of them are introducedin detail. In the software aspect, software programming is based on the function of the systemand the completion of the hardware. This system has the functions of displaying the filed data,modifying the parameter and recording the fault. The data is transmitted through the CAN bus,RS-485and RS-232communication between the microprocessor and the LCD display and thento the upper computer. Users can modify parameter at any time with buttons on site.The hardware circuit design and debugging, and the majority of software debugging havebeen completed in this thesis. The experiment validates the validity and reliability of the system.This paper also points out its deficiencies and proposes a renovation plan and provides a goodfoundation and reference value for further escalation of the system. |
