The heating equipment of the microware road maintenance vehicle is constructedfrom arrays of heating units configured by the magnetrons and horn antennas. There islots of mutual interference and coupling radiation effect between the different magnetrons,which could impact the efficiency and quality of the asphalt heating.Based on the coupling effect and microwave interference, the heating efficiency ofthe microware heating equipment is simulated and analyzed in this research. The newmethod which is on the basis of numerical method concerned with the average value andvariance of the losing power density is brought forward and used for evaluating theheated mass. The effects of the tilt angle of the horn antenna, cavity resonator and theheight from the asphalt and the distance between magnetrons on the efficiency of theasphalt heating are analyzed. The analytical results could play a critical role in designingof the microware road maintenance equipment. The simulation results is obtained asfollow:1The optimum tilt angle of the horn antenna is15degree, and the tilting of the Hface make better efficiency the tilting of the E face.2The heating efficiency of the heating wall is improved by introducing the cavityresonator.3The optimum distance between arrays of the heating wall and the asphalt road is30mm.4The optimum vertical and column distance between the horn antennas is obtain as50mm and65mm by simulation results.
