| Recently, with the development of that the ship is becoming larger and faster, it brings aseries of problems. The bow flare slamming pressure caused by the deck area enlarged isespecially important to the large container vessels. It’s a pretty complex and practical subject. The paper mainly talked about the calculation method on the bow flare slamming pressure ofthe large container vessels.Firstly, the paper introduced the purpose and significance of the slamming problem, theresearch history and development inboard and outboard, with the methods of theory, experiment and numeric simulation. The paper calculated the bow flare slamming pressurebased on the direct calculation method. Then, based on Rankine panel method, belonging to the potential flow theory, the papercalculated the motion of the large container vessel running in irregular waves at head seaswith the nonlinear analyze method. The motion of the ship running at the speed of22knots,17knots,12knots, on the loading conditions of full load or ballast load, at the fifth sea-statesto eighth sea-states is calculated specifically. And then, the paper introduced the calculation principle of the bow flare slammingpressure based the Wagner impact theory, chose the bow flare area referring to the ABS ruleson the slamming, got the water-line angle and longitudinal section angle decided by thevessel shape, and calculated the slamming pressure. At last, the paper obtained the maximumof the pressure in an hour, compared the pressure characteristic along the ship longitudinaland height direction in different sea-states and loading conditions, and compared the pressurein different loading conditions at the same speed and sea-states.At last, the paper calculated the slamming probability and the extreme value of theslamming pressure based on the probability and stochastic theory. The slamming probabilityand the extreme value character along the ship longitudinal and height direction in the sameloading condition at the different speeds and sea-states were compared, and the slammingprobability and the extreme value of pressure in different loading conditions at the samespeed and sea-states were compared. |
