With the development of science and technology, the demand for energy has become a veryimportant social issue. Human research on many renewable energy, especially wind and solarpower. Solar and wind power has a very good complementary characteristics and therefore Smallscale Wind and Solar complementary electricity generating system can be used in part of theregion far from the grid. LED lighting technology developed rapidly in recent years, LEDlighting has been used more widely. Research on LED lights based on wind and solar powerhave great significance to energy saving and urban lighting.This project designed a wind and solar LED street light control based on DSP. In hardwaredesign, TMS320F2812is the MCU of this control system, we design system data acquisitionmodule, the PWM signal driver modules, auxiliary power module of the control systems, LEDlighting driver circuit and the system clock module. In control methods, according to thecharacteristics of both wind power and photovoltaic power system, wind power system used withVariable Step Maximum Power Point Tracking control method, the PV system using perturbationand observation method based on the hysteresis with a constant voltage tracking of controlmethods. Control of battery charging is used segmented charge.This paper first introduces the basis for wind and solar power generation, control methodsand strategies for wind and solar power generation maximum power point tracking; And thendescribe the hardware for signal collection, PWM-driven, auxiliary power LED street lampcontroller and software design processes; Finally, make a summary of the controller design,while the proposed improvements are recommended in the next work.
