Research On Communication Space Of Traditional Villages In Western Beijing

Outdoor association space is the product of the interaction between man being and the natural, playing a crucial role in the traditional villages in the west of Beijing. Especially in the case of urbanization rapidly forwarding, the contradiction between the new and old settlements surrounddings have become increasingly sharp. Planners and architects often copies the international fashion, without absorbing regional culture. Traditional culture has a profound impact on the overall spatial characteristics of the traditional village of West Beijing, and should be inherited and developed.However, at present researches on the space of traditional villages of West Beijing are still not surfficient enough, in particular the outdoor communication space of villages which is the persnalization space of the settlement. The most obvious feature is that many researches have been done on the spatial structure and spatial form, but much fewer researches have been done on the outdoor space and human’s behavior and activities.Therefore, based on the summarization of the investigation of representative villages, this paper attempts to analyze the space type and villager’s behavior primarily, and elements are conclude in this paper which decide the use of space. So as to establish the actual significance of this paper in the research of outdoor communication space of traditional villages and new rural communication space design in Beijing western areas.The paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter Ⅰ:Introduction. Introduces the research background, purpose and significance of the paper, and defines the scope of the study and related concepts. Chapter Ⅱ:Physical form of communication space of traditional villages in Beijing western areas. Natural and social factors that affect the physical form of the Jingxi traditional village communication space are mainly analyzed, as well as material elements of communication space. Chapter Ⅲ:People’s communication psychology and behavior of Jingxi traditional villages. Basic psychological needs about communication space, space behavioral targeting psychological as well as communicative action features of villages are mainly analyzed in this section. Chapter Ⅳ:Communication action of traditional villages in Beijing western areas. Based on the relationship between outdoor space and villgers’communication behavior, villagers’ behavior and activity patterns and space factors that affect villagers’ behavior and activity are analyzed. Chapter Ⅴ: Humane construction of communication space of traditional villages in Beijing western areas. Based on the indepth analysis of villagers’ physiological, psychological, behavior needs on the communication space and villagers’ behavior activity patterns in communication space, five control elements conducive to exchanges, for instance space layout, space limited spatial scale, spatial organization, rest facilities set, are summarized and deeply analyzed.
