Analysis On Characteristic And Protection Of Former Residences Of Celebrities In YunNan

As the important political, economic and cultural center of southwest China, gathering many Celebrities from ancient to modern times, Yunnan has glorious history and cultural traditions. Many former residences of celebrities are important parts of Yunnan historical and cultural heritage, so how to explore the feature of local architectural heritage has profound influences in Yunnan architectural history and urban context. Based on the analysis of architectural form, this paper mainly describe protection and utilization of former residencesBecause of the special geographical location and multi-ethnic humane environment, Yunnan has its own local feature and diversity, especially for the historical value of tradition buildings which need protection. Those tradition buildings show the local domestic architecture form in different history period, the research of these architectural form and architectural heritage protection has an important historical value.This paper focuses on the research of former residences of celebrities in Yunnan. With many field investigations and deep interview, this paper counts the number of former residences of celebrities using the theory of typology to classify and summarize the statistics, analyzing the architectural form characteristics and construction technical achievement. This paper makes a deep research in historical value and protection method of former residences of celebrities.
