With the development of engineering technology, the application of conversion truss structures in engineering field is wider and wider. The conversion truss structure has many special characteristics compared to transfer beam structure:From the perspective of architectural, conversion truss structure can not only meet the requirements of convenience on laying the pipes and wires, but also conducive to the indoor lighting of the building; From the perspective of structure, the stress of the truss is clear and easily calculated; The stiffness of conversion truss is smaller than that of transfer beam under the same condition, so that the stiffness between conversion layer and the adjacent layers won’t appear great mutation, which is beneficial to seismic resistance. From the view of economic, it will reduce the material consumption and cost using conversion truss rather than transfer beamThe thesis analyzed the tube in tube structure containing conversion truss on the whole model, and researched the mechanical behaviors of conversion truss which is a critical element of the overall structure. It also analyzed the reinforced concrete conversion truss by the finite element analysis. The main aspects of contents are listed as follows: First, this dissertation makes the general analysis on a tube in tube structure containing conversion truss by ETABS, a software for structure analysis. The main conclusions:the chord gets larger bending moment in the middle and end; a larger shearing force lies on the section of chord and web members receive a larger axial force. Under the vertical loads, the bending moment and shear force of chord and the axial force of vertical web member is increasing with the chord stiffness’increasing.Under the horizontal loads, the change of chord stiffness will only influence the internal force of itself. The internal force of chord is increasing with the chord stiffness’increasing, but they will verge stable when increasing to a certain extent. The collaborative work performance will reduce when The ratio of chord stiffness and web member stiffness is increasing.Secondly, the thesis analyzed the conversion truss by ANSYS, a finite element software. The condition of the stress distribution in conversion truss under the action of load are follows:the lower chord is under tensile stress, the above chord is under pressure stress, the web members are completely under compressive stress; the rule of chord stress change is that the stress in middle is the biggest, and gradually decreasing toward both sides. Finally, the thesis analyzed three forms of conversion truss structure by ANSYS, a finite element software. Some concludes are summarized through the comparative analysis:Add inclined braces make the distribution of internal force in each member of the truss more uniform and reasonable, improve the stiffness and integrity of conversion truss, and effectively improve the deformation performance of conversion truss. The purpose of the study is analyze the mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete conversion truss and the influence that stiffness variation of the chord to mechanical characteristics of conversion truss. The thesis studies the influence that the layout of web members to stress and deformation of conversion trusses through the analysis on mechanical characteristics of different forms conversion trusses, aiming to provides some references and suggestions for the application of conversion truss in projects.
