| In the process of the urban development, the development of the spatial pattern of the old industrial settlements have become an important issue worldwide, because the problems which the old industrial settlements faced were more complex and severe than the average of the old residential blocks.More than half a century, China’s economic system experienced three stages that were the planned economy era, the transitional period of planned economy to a market economy system and the market economy period, at the same time, China’s housing system were changed according to economic system change. Entering the new century, Shanxi’s economy developing fast, and the living standard level of the city people’s is improving, the construction of the city continues to accelerate, the old industrial space of the settlements which were built in the1950s to the1990s begun to emerge aging phenomina——affected the developing construction of Shanxi’s urban and residential seriously. in order to improve the residents’quality of life, to improve the spatial pattern of existing settlements, promote the rapid development of the city, and beautify the settlements inside and urban environment Shanxi Province, the old industrial settlements forms of spatial pattern need develop as soon as possible.This paper reviewed the related practice of the spatial pattern of development of old industrial settlements in domestic and international, and reviewed the development process of the spatial pattern of the old industrial settlements in Shanxi Province in the last century from1949to2011, and did research and analysis on the spatial pattern of the old industrial settlements, to understand the structure of the population of residents and housing status quoThe paper proposed the practical develop model and specific measures to meet the old industrial settlements in Shanxi province under the market economy, to plentify the spatial form of the old industrial settlements through local construction and demolition on the existing basis, make good use of location advantages of the settlements, improve the overall quality of the settlements, and vigorously develop the surrounding environment of the settlements, integrate the settlements in space and urban space together, retain the industrial culture of the settlements, on the foundation of the spatial pattern of old industrial settlements development, integrate intrinsic space vein into one, with examples to be analyzed, so that the spatial pattern of the old industrial settlements in Shanxi Province ahead to the front line of sustainable direction towards low-carbon and environmental protection.This article is a branch of the development of the old pattern living space, it has a great significance both theoretical and practical point of view, to pass on and develop the unique form of spatial pattern of the old industrial settlements, make the old industrial settlements and old residential model of development treated differently. |
