Project Management Studies For LNG Storage Tank Facilities

As per the growing shortage of world energy, the percentage of natural gas in the global energy structure will surely exceeds oil and become the world’s biggest energy. Until now. China has no national standards for large scale Liquid Natural Gas tanks and no experience for the design and construction of large scale Liquid Natural Gas tanks, therefore, strengthening the study and research for LNG tanks plays an important role for the development of Chinese LNG industry as well as solving the deteriorative environmental issue and the energy crisis. This thesis briefly states the features of LNG and analyzes the tanks construction as per the situation at home and abroad and also proposes the trend for developing large scale LNG tanks, it used the previous projects experience and advanced technologies to improve the construction level and enhance the company’s interest adn results in good economic and social benefits. This thesis can be considered experience for developing the project management level of the mechanical work for LNG tanks. It continuously absorbs the advanced technologies of other countries and develop our own independent rights and patents, this provides necessary conditions for developing the LNG Storage Tanks in the twelfth five-year program.
