In recent years, the hydro-power is developed actively all over the country, and the rapid development of hydro-power engineering not only helps ease the power supply and demand contradiction, but improve people’s working and living conditions, promoting national socio-economic development. However, with the rapid development of hydro-power engineering, soil erosion and ecological damage are caused in some areas, reaches of reservoir downstream suffers water loss, besides, the ecology, river sights and the people’s economic life are adversely affected. With people’s conservation awareness for ecological environment strengthened, the negative effects on ecological environment caused by hydro-power engineering have increasingly drawn people’s attention. Based on many literatures home and abroad as well as case studies, taking regulation project of Fengman hydropower station as an example, this paper analyzes and studies the evaluation of the impact on land ecological environment, drawing conclusions as follows:i The main purpose of the evaluation of the impact of hydro-power project on ecological environment is to coordinate the relationship between hydro-power construction and ecological environmental protection, and the eco-environmental protection measures in hydro-power project are effective in coordinating the hydro-power construction and the ecological environmental protection. This thesis proposes eco-environmental protection measures based on the evaluation of the impact of hydro-power project on ecological environment.ii Based on the investigation of current condition of ecological environment and with the integrity of ecosystem as the judgement criterion, this paper evaluates the impact of hydro-power project on ecological environment in terms of land utilization, wildlife and vegetationiii Based on remote sensing interpretation, route investigation, sample investigation and expert inquiry, this paper analyzes the present characteristics of land ecosystem of the evaluated area, and then analyzes the impact of Fengman hydropower station on land ecosystem, finally, the corresponding eco-protection measures are put forward.iv The main impact of hydro-power project on vegetation is the damage of the vegetation in the dam area, the stock ground, he abandoned dreg sites and the temporary occupied land, but it won’t cause obvious bad influence on the species diversity and distribution in the above mentioned areas, and the impact that caused by the construction will disappear with the construction over. During the period of construction, the operation methods are in line with that of Fengman hydropower station, the major characteristic water level won’t get changed, no new reservoir inundation will appear and no new affects on land ecological environment will occur.
