The study analyzes the main factors which influence the process of compression molding of the broken materials of the sorghum’s straw, such as temperature, pressure, moisture content and so on. The experimental results show that the theories of compression molding of the broken materials can be wildely used in sorghum’s straw. Based on the above theories and experiments, the taper of the support feet, a critical factor in compression molding, was numerically simulated by MSC.Marc.Through the compression experiment, this study proves that pressing pressure and density in the compression molding process meet the chuanbei formula and forming yield criterion applies to Shima powder forming theory. In order to use the Shima formula, the relationship of the Passion’s ratio and the relative density must be sure. Experience formula of the Passion’s ratio and the relative density in the compression molding process were derived by Electro-measurement experiment. In order to discuss the best angle, related parameters in the calculation of the Shima model were determined by the experiments aref=0.432(1-ρ)-0.11 and f1=ρ-0.043.Contact problems were considered in the finite element numerical simulation. We can observe the quality of the molded tray forming in the different taper supporting feet. The results indicate that when tapered is between 32°and 34°the Forming effect is best. Compared with the forming taper of moulded tray made by chips at present the result of the relative density of distribution and stress distribution of simulated is better.
